When Miss Billie Armadilly asks her friends ¨C a tarantula named Tex, a bluebird named Mackie and a horned toad named Taffy - to help her cook a pot of chili, they're too busy to lend a hand so she gathers the beetles, hot peppers and cactus and cooks the chili herself. When it's ready her friends drop by, but Miss Billie tells them, ¡°No workin' with Billie, no sharin' the chili.¡± All alone in her kitchen, Miss Billie discovers that the chili doesn't taste quite right ¨C not until her friends return to share it with her.
